Hello Everyone!
It's nice to be a part of the turtle community. I've been going crazy signing up on all these different forums and I'm just amazed at how many turtle people there are out there! It's a huge help for me, too, as I'm learning from more experienced keepers such as yourselves. I have two red eared sliders that I acquired as classroom pets a little over a year ago. They have since come home with me. Their names are Yellowy and Tippy (named by my first grade students). Yellowy is 3" and Tippy's about 2". You can check them out at: http://homepage.mac.com/steve5150/PhotoAlbum61.html
Also, any suggestions/advice about their habitat and other details are welcome. I am planning to move them to a 55 gal soon. Currently they are being housed in a 33 gal tank.

Welcome! Isn't it great how much of a kick the kids get out of turtles??? I teach Kindergarten & I took the turtles in ONCE. and they ask about them constantly.

Your set up and turtles are very cute. I'm sure they would love a change to a bigger environment!
