Hello to all
I have recently adopeted 2 red sliders that are about 5-6 years old.
They look very healthy and one of them is very friendly and the other is very scared. I can't really tell but I think they are both females by the looks of their toenails.
I have a warm place in my heart for animals and that is probably why I have too many of them. I have 4 dogs -2 birds - beta fish and 2 turtles.
They came from a home of little attention and I don't want to make the same mistake. I will post in the question forum later.
I am making them an approx 9x9 fenced outdoor pond where they can hang in the summer.
I don't have any pictures of my turtles yet but I am looking forward to taking some and posting them.

Welcome!
It's so great when people adopt turtles, there are so many out there who need good homes when their owners realize turtles are a bit more work than a goldfish.
It sounds like you're building them quite the summer home, I can't wait to see the pictures!

Yes, they probably will hurt it. You should only introduce a new turtle if it is roughly the same size as the older ones and if you are doing it on neutral ground ( a new tank).
