hello all my name is teresa and i am the proud mommy of two RES. i got these little guys amost yrs ago. (shane and shyann)when i bought them at a local flea market i didnt think they would make it 1 yr and here we are at almost 6 yrs! from my research i believe they are sexed right.lol! at least i hope so. they started out in what i called there "death bowl". this little round blue bowl, to witch the person i got them from said "oh they can live in this for a few years" yeah right! within the first month they were moved to a 10g tank where they were for a year, then to a 20g long and now in a 55g tank. they have uva and uvb lights as well as a heater and double filter. i love to just sit and watch them swim and play (its just to cute! they bask alot and seam to enjoy all the room they have to swim. i will post pics soon. i look foward to talking and getting to know you all and am also going to post a question about gravid females and things like that.
