Greetings Concordia and welcome to the forum! You live in a beautiful country - I'd love to visit it some day. What are your turtles' names?

they don't have names yet and the reason is that it is too early to tell if they are males or females...but i'm looking forward to know what they finally are and give them their names...i hope you visit greece before it is absolutely burnt(i don't know if you have heard about the recent fires in southern greece)...

Oooo I have read about the fires. Are they still burning? I hope they are nowhere near year. From the satellite photos we saw it looked like they were burning all over. Terrible.

On the names, did you know it will be about a year before you know whether they are boys are girls? They mature when they get to be about 4" long and until then you can't tell. Some people give little turtles names that would work for either a boy or a girl, some people just make a guess and give one or the other type of name. Sometimes when people guess wrong (give a girl's name to a boy turtle or vice versa) they just live with it when the turtle grows up, and sometimes they change the name.
