Hi everyone! I'm new to the website and the world of turtles. I recently lost my baby turtle Donatello to a respiratory infection. I was quite heart broken, but my aunt decided she didn't want her slider turtles anymore. So I am currently the proud owner of two other baby sliders. Sadly she had bought the three turtles for her aquarium..as decoration!! I was upset and so rescued one of them from her. Unfortunately that is the turtle that passed away, but I am now trying to save the other two turtles by taking care of them. It is sad how some pet stores sell them like candy. Mikey and Raphael ( the turtles I have now) are doing great and growing everyday =) It's nice to meet people that love turtles also. It is my newfound love :D

Hi and welcome to the forum! :)

Sorry to hear about your first baby. They can be difficult to keep healthy when they're that small. Hopefully your 2 new ones will stay healthy for you. :) What kind of setup do you have for them? Also, if you haven't already, I highly recommend reading the different sections on basic care, nutrition, habitat and health that you can find by clicking on the "RES Basic Care" link at the top of the page.

welcome to the forum, glad the other two babies are ok, My oldest turtel is named Donatello also :) I'm wonder where did you picked up the same name as mine :) LOL , (mine is two yrs old)
GlaD TO Be A MeMBeR, :) I have a 2 yo male turtle and a baby turtle 2-3 months old, I'm interested in knowing more about them,
hugs, Albert, Donatello and Baby turtle and bunch of tropical fishes( 3 acuariums) :)
