I've been using this site for a long time now, but this is my first time posting. I have an adorable little 2yr old slider named Apple Blossom (Blapple for short) and he's my baby. I actually won him at a carnival. I couldn't resist that cute little face, not to mention I wanted to rescue him from his far from ideal conditions. Spent a lot of money trying to win him but he's worth every penny and is happy and healthy! I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Hi! Your turtle's name is really sweet - Apple Blossom or Blapple. I really love it.

On the avatar, do you use photobucket? If you do, look and you'll see there's a button on the toolbar at the top of the page for creating an avatar. It makes the image the correct size. I don't know about other photo hosts.

Aww I'm glad you like his name!! I did use photobucket. I'm trying to resize my picture before I upload it to that site.

If you upload it, there is a button that will resize it for you.

Whenever I click on the resize button on photobucket it doesn't work.

Are you clicking the resize to an avatar button? If you are and it isn't working, it might already be the size you want. Can't really say without looking at it myself though.

OK I uploaded it again on photobucket and I went to resize it. This time the resize buttong worked but when I hit avatar it resized it to 99 X 55 (14kb). The original picture is 1024 X 564 (141kb). I just can't figure it out.

I fixed it!!!!
