Hey there
A couple from new zealand who have just got 2 new members of our family pebbles and bam bam this week and thought we would join this forum to get to know other red ear owners who may be able to help us when we need it and for any tips or tricks about these little guys you may have picked while owning yours.

Hello How are you, I too i'm a new owner of a RES Hatchling. I've had it for a week today, so i'm excited about getting to know more and more about RES. H/She Name Wylie he is alittle bigger then a quarter. it good though I learn everyday, and I teach my 7 year old daughter.

well they are actually just over a year old we got them from someone else
so they are already named we have them in a 91.5cm x 38cm and 48.5cm tank but am still trying to design the tank to suit them best so im reasearching and trying new things to get it right with information off the net.
any tips you guys can give me on setting up the perfect turtle pad would be much appreciated but ill keep tinkering with things until i have it right .
now i read that turtles sometimes play do any of you have turtles that do play and what type of toys are best for this if they do.

Hello Marisa well Wylie is still in a little plastic container he came in, I want to get him some thing bigger and better cause he will need it, Um thinking more like a 10-15 gallon rubbermaid, container, for now, as S/he grows. I'm trying my best to care for it, finding alot of information about RES, was never interested till I got it, I think today or tomorrow I will get the container, what can I put in there to make s/he happy, I got some Pic I want to post but don;t know how I will take my time on pic first trying to make a good and happy enviroment.

Hey i am new here I have one red eared slider turtle I think he is around 15, the pet owners didn't know and I bought him 11 years ago. I thought this site was interesting and found some good stuff in it so I decided to join.
