I am the owner of two babies-one male and one female. I aquired them 09/30/06 at the World's Largest Garage Sale in Warrensburg, NY. They were sold illegally. As a child, I recall having hatchling sliders. We never knew how to care for them and therefore, they never survived. I am determined to nurture my slider babies to maturity! The male became ill Feb. 2007....the female was too agressive and took all the food. I nursed the male back to health with Vitamin A drops, Sulfa Dip, and a diet of turtle food with nutrients. I feed them separately now and there have been no more issues. I use a small aquarium to house both. In the fall, I will move them to a larger aquarium. I look forward to "chatting" with all slider lovers via this forum. Love the photo galleries!

Thanks! I watched the video at least twice....made me smile. I am a little slow learning to navigate the forum to view resposes and create replies. Hopefully, I will learn quickly. There is so much information from so many people...I HAD to join and I'll get better at navigation.

Asia is the female and Warren is the male. I aquired them in Warrensburg, NY...this is the origin of the male name. Asians were selling the turtles illegally with their inscense and sweaters....that's how Asia got her name!
