Hey, everyone. :] My name is Emily, I'm eighteen and from northeastern Pennsylvania. I'm actually pretty excited to have found this forum, haha. I'm the owner of three RES [including two babies], a 10 week old lab/pitbull puppy, and a monsterous tater-tot eating goldfish, haha. I'm currently taking online classes for my associates degree as a vet. tech. and, really, that's pretty much it :] Nice to meet you all. :]]

welcome to the forum, good luck with your studies, I would love to get a job working with animals, but didn't see much money in it... unless of course you get a veterinary degree, but school is expensive.

kstewart55, Thank you. :] Actually, there's a high rising demand for technicians starting up. The plan, though, is to work as a technician until I have enough money to persue my DVM. Student loans are scaaary thoughts :~]

urbancleopatra, haha, not ME. This goldfish was bought as a small, run-of-the-mill petstore goldfish by my boyfriend's father about a year ago. They kept him in a one-gallon tank that wasn't cleaned very often [they had fashioned a filter system out of cotton balls! ie, bad idea, haha]. Three months later the water was so dark, I didn't even realize there WAS a fish. Well, when his father passed away, my boyfriend's gradfather was going to get rid of little Spishy. Only little Spishy was NOT little anymore. He was about as long as an outstretched palm! And still in a one gallon tank. So I brought him home with me. Now, they fed this fish everything and anything, from beer to raw meat, and the thing is sitll alive. Go figure. haha.
