I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I'm new to this forum and i'm the proud new owner of a RES. I had a box turtle for several years and have missed him since he's been gone. I do not know much about owning a water turtle but I am very excited about learning.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day and I look forward to getting to know you all!!

Thanks for all the welcomes!! My three year old is a HUGE Pirates of the Caribbean movies so he wanted the turtle to be named Captain Jack Sparrow. He also loves the first Rocky movie so the name could have been Cuff or Link. We compromised and agreed on Jack. Of course, we'll have to see what happens once I know the sex of the turtle...
