Wow, they're getting big quickly. Could the two bigger ones be getting more than their share of food?

That is possible. That's why I spread the food all over the tank instead of one place. I could feed them separately for a little while to make sure everyone is getting their fair share? Would keep the tank cleaner too.

Check craigslist for larger tanks. That's where I got my 75 gallon. You definitely need a bigger tank for them.

Moving soon to a place with a yard. Hoping to upgrade to a pond for the big momma and move him to hers and them to his. Lost one today. It was so sudden that I wasn't able to tell what happened. Either I scared it during the tank cleaning or it drowned. It's body looked puffy... They are all very healthy looking.

Everyone else is doing fine. Two are much larger than the rest. Up to 2.25 inches. I really think they might be females. They have slightly shorter tails and their heads are slightly broader. Or they are hippos and need to go on a diet... Will get some pictures up later. In the process of moving, and packing is making this place very disorganized. Don't know if one of us packed the camera or just misplaced it... :p

Took these with my phone, so the quality isn't so good.

The two 2.25 inch ones are hanging out in daddy's tank! The going get a few more tanks from someone to separate them a bit better. The pond won't be in development for a while, but it is going to happen~

Yeah, they hatched June 19th. So they are a little over 2 months old!

Update on my babies! Mom and dad are doing good and their 9 children are quickly growing. I think from the rate of growth and look that I have 3 females in the bunch, but that doesn't make me love them any less and it insures me that mom will one day have other females to hang out with.
