I hope everything is ok with your turt, I know it must
be nerve racking, I get nervous when their behavior is
slightly different. If you can, u think we can all see what
your set up is like, maybe post some pics when u have the

Here is a picture of Sam's tank. Do you think he has enough water? I am going to get him some plants to put in his tank for him to eat. And one to help clean his tank!

He could have more water, RES naturally live in lakes which have A LOT of water, and I saw the other pic of him, he's pretty big! he could use a lot of water, as much as you can fill it up, with out him being able to escape!

More water and submersible water heater to maintain the water at a constant temp if the temp is really cool (rather than trying to warm the water with lights).

If the lights came with the tank, make sure one is a UVB light and that there's no glass or other barrier between the light and your turtle. What is the basking area temp? (Should be 88-90F).

Those larger rocks that are submerged look like they're just taking up swimming space. I'm assuming the basking area is that flat area on the right(?)What's the basking area temp?
