Where are you located? It would help alot to know where you are.

1. There are some options actually when trying to find your RES. I can help you buy one in Banawe. It would set you back around PHP150.00 for a 1.5 inch turt. These turts have it bad but not as bad as the bigger ones sold elsewhere.

2. There are some turts that are 2" already for PHP160.00 but I would not suggest those because they are dark colored plus their habitat is real bad. So I dont think they are healthy turts.

3. There is also this little shop in Megamall where they sell pets for kids. They have 1" turts that are clean and healthy, though a bit undernourished. They are kind of thin, but seeing that they are baby turts, you can still nurse them back to health. They are the most expensive since the shop is located at a mall, they cost about PHP300.00 each and 2 for PHP500.00.

So I would suggest option 1 or 3 depending on your budget. I could also help you get the supplies that you would need to get your initial setup running. I could show you my turts current setup so you wont have to make the mistakes that I have made before. makes life easier.

i'm in QC, not far from the banawe area. where in banawe is that shop? 150's ok. i think they used to sell them at around the same price at bio research.

i think i know that shop in megamall. that's the one near sbarro right? they didn't have turtles the last time i checked though.

i don't have problems with the supplies though. i have everything almost set up already. i just need the light and the turtle.

I would imagine a turtle could get some great UVB rays from the sun in the Phillipines, if he were able to get outside for some direct sunlight.

yup. the sun here's perfect for basking especially in the mornings. i'm sure a turtle would love it.

The store is located along Banawe itself. I think its called Pet Central or something like that. Its the only pet shop along Banawe I believe. Coming from Q.Ave, its on your right. Small shop, but you cant miss it.
