Hello. I have been lurking for a year or so and starting posting a few months ago but never actually posted in the introduction forum. My name is Jeff and me and my wife and 2 kids live in South Carolina. We have a RES and it is about 4 years old now. The turtle keeps getting its name changed because we could never figure out the gender and up until last week we had decided that it was a HE. After setting up the turtle's new home we donated the old tank to the Playcard Environmental Education Center When the guy came by to pick up the tank and other things he said we had a female turtle so now Trevor must go through one more name change. lol Poor turtle is going to have an identity crisis. Anybody know of any good turtle shrinks?

Anyways here is the turtle formerly known as Trevor

I don't think we've decided on a new name yet. I suggested going with a gender neutral name then we would be safe either way. haha Of course the way this turtle acts sometimes it has to be female. :D

Yes she is. I think she's grown a little more since we put her in the new 90 gallon tank. I'll have to measure her next time I take her out for a tank cleaning.

Her shell is actually not very smooth at all. Must be the camera angle. She has a bit of pyramiding going on. She got fed a bit too much when she was younger.

Maybe we'll call her Pat. Anybody who is familiar with the show Saturday Night Live will remember the Pat character. She is 8 inches by the way. I finally got around to measuring her.

I love SNL, but don't think I remember the Pat character (I was out of the country for a number of years). Who played the Pat character?

Why Pat (a fine name, btw)?
