my name is daniel and from dallas. i've been browsing here for a while all of the info. on here is great! i have two baby RES's their names are serj and mash.
well, i told my g/f that i wanted a turtle, but i wasn't really ready to get one. and last saturday she came home w/ two baby res! i wasn't ready for them so this last 5 days i've spent over $100 for them. she got a aquarium with them, but i don't even think it was even a gallon! she got them at grapevine mills mall. i'm in valley ranch actually.
That sounds so typical. Most people on here had no idea what they were in for when they got their turtle(s). The setup is a pretty big deal. RES need space and good equipment to keep healthy. The payoff comes, though, when you've got the setup down. Then it becomes very easy. RES are loaded with personality and are lively and very interactive.
