I'm going through the same thing.
UGH!! My boyfriend ignores anything I say about the turtles. (I'm worried they are sick right now). I mentioned it to him "why are you ignoring me", you what his reply was, "I was hoping you'd get the hint." 
But then he turns around and asks about them if i don't bring them up, or watches them for up to an hour!!
We ended up in this huge fight last night about it and decided the turtles will be moved to his house.
I'm just so frustrated!!
