Hello All!

I bought my first RES on Sunday from some pretty bad conditions in Chinatown while looking for a set of chopsticks. Ergo, my turtle's name is Chopsticks. He [Chopsticks is a boy until otherwise discovered] is about 3/4" -1" across and I have him in a 10gal tank for now. I know I'll have to upgrade soon.

Already this site has been super helpful with letting me know how to care for my little Chopsticks correctly!! Thanks everyone!

welcome to the site. And good job for rescuing chopsticks from the mess he was in. I have an idea of what it must have been like. My RES Norman was more than likely from Chinatown here in Boston, MA. But he was left stranded on a mall bench in one of them gallon containers wit the little palm tree and maybe 2 inches of nasty water. So my sister took him home and let me care for him. It has been just about 7 months and he is a happy camper.
