Hello everyone. I am Lisa a stay at home mommy/ work at home mommy. I have one son, Nicholas. I have 5 dogs 10 or so different fish, chickens, etc... I am getting 2 RES. New to me! I have only ever had Box turtles. and they were all wild. I only viewed them untill they left my yard, so I have not had the opportunity to care for any of them in my home. Hmm I dont knwo what more to put but so glad I found this forum so I can learn lots more.

Yea I like this forum alot better than one of the other I was on. They were kinda nasty towards me. I want to learn like all other new people. I have done alot of research on them and have a place for them both for when the get big! I cant wait to get started. My son is almost 2 and loves to watch the fish and help feel. We will have no problem there. LOL He will learn to help me out. I think this will help him learn responsibility at a young age. He does help with all animals!

Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome Lisa. Glad you found us. This is the best place on the net to get valuable information about RES. They make wonderful pets. Since you've already got fish, your son is probably used to the fact that they are a see but don't touch pet. Same with the RES and they are much more entertaining!
My babies: Tanner (RES), MR. Prissy & Ringo (budgies), Shinju (cockatiel)
