During the summer about 4 months ago my sister and my niece were at a local Mall here in Boston. My sister was having her cigarette before actually going inside to do some shopping and was sitting on a bench. Right next to her was a plastic bag. She opened up and took a peek to see what was inside. It was a small habitat, about 2 inches of filthy water and a tiny RES. She called me up asked if i wanted to take care of it. And wit the help of this site so far i have my lil buddy Norman a nice lil home wit tons of upgrades to come. I got a lil 45 second video of him having a fight wit the water filter,,,well he loves the waterfall effect...lol
Check it out. If hes not basking hes doin this. Seems pretty active.

Here is a picture of his setup so far also.
I have a dock, heater, filter and light (regular 60 watt bulb) I know i need a UVB light for him also and i hope 2 get one ASAP.
Anything else i should do please let me know,,im open 2 ideas to keep him happy. Mind you for now it is a 54qt container, plenty room for him for now i hope. He is only about 3 inches.

Ill be adding more pics from time to time as he grows and his habitat changes. Im sure ill be around asking tons of questions cuz i want my lil buddy to be happy. So far soo good. Thanks for having us!!

He was on a bench outside of the Galleria Mall in Cambridge. My sister sat and waited like 15 minutes wit him to see if anyone was going to come back for him, but nope,,so she called me.

A women at petco across from the mall said he was probably sold on the black market down in Chinatown because he was soooo tiny at 1st. And i guess there is a 4inch law and he was well below that. Im gonna measure him now 2 know for sure.

EDIT: He/she is 2 1/4 inches long

TY! He is happy i saved him too. He never stops swimming back n forth in his tank and going under the falling water from the filter. HE LOVES IT!
Basks a bit,,,back n forth in the waterfall,,,bask,,waterfall,,non stop all day.
Very active lil turtle.
Lord,
Grant me the serenity to accept the things i cannot change.
The courage to change the things that I can.
And the wisdom to know the difference.
