Hi! I see that everyone has been introducing themselves, so I will follow suit. My name is Kalina and I have owned my RES since 2002. Her name is Turtle (yeah, not very creative, but we thought she was male for 3 years, and it was too difficult to come up with anything new that we liked) and she lives in a beautiful 90 gallon tank. I will post some pictures when I can figure out how to take them properly (with the flash, I get too much reflection off the glass, but without the flash, my camera doesn't seem to take the photo with very clear resolution...hmmm). As of yet, Turtle is the only pet that my husband and I have - and I think she knows how spoiled she is. I am so glad I found this site - I was excited to see so many well-educated RES owners! Thanks

Welcome Kaline! Love your name! This site is definitely a huge help to new owners as well as experienced. Can't wait to see the pics! Do you have a tripod? You can take no-flash pics without the blur with something steady like a tripod. I found one last week on ebay, very inexpensive, and I love it.
