Hey everyone my name is Brian and i'm from Toronto,Ontario, Canada. I have four Red Ear Sliders which i will post pictures of later. I have no names for these turtles I just recognize them by their shell design. Two turtles are around 10 years olld and the other two are brand new lol. The two older turtles have lived in a small sized tank with low level water and have been fed pellets for all their lives. This was due to my family not really caring about the turtles. Chinese people just buy turtles for fun becuse they are like 10 dollars in chinatown. They have survived till now and in about 2 weeks im going to give a new setup for them with a larger tank, filter, heater, and a basking area and lamp. As for my two small turtles they currently live in a small 15g tank with a basking area and heat lamp with a small waterfall filter and they live with a bunch of little minnows that they eat all the time lol. They are being moved to a 40g tank in 2 weeks with a real basking area and uvb tubes and two better filters. pics wil be posted later of the turtles.

Hi and welcome. Have you have the older turtles for the 10 years or did you get them when they were already older?

If you have any questions, feel free to post them. Everyone here is happy to help.

Welcome! It's great to hear you're going to give your turtles the habitat they need. There's so many uninformed turtle owners out there. This site really helps people understand what they need for their turtles to thrive, not just to survive. Keep us updated with posts and pics of the new setups!
