:D Hi all. I have 2 RES that live in our pond out back. We've had them since June 2006, but don't get to see them too often. They're very shy. Fred & Ethel are about 4yrs old, that's what I've been told.
I have a lot to learn about them and so far, this site has been very helpful. Our next BIG challenge will be to try and catch these little rascles so I can get them indoors for the winter. And if anyone has any idea's on how to do this, please let me know.
Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself... :D

Welcome! Glad you joined us! We'd love to see pics of your pond if you have any.

As for catching them, you might try a large fishing net. Just be careful of getting their claws stuck in the netting.

Welcome! Not to sure how you would go about catching them. Good luck!

Welcome. Get one of those large nets at an aquarium shop---the kind that are mesh and have really tiny holes. Tempt them near you with some smelly food, and then scoop them up. :)
