Hi Everyone! I just bought 2 RES. This website has so many information and so useful. :)

Mine are a few months old, according to the shop. They are about 1.5 inches long. Very cute but very shy.

We bought two RES for our son who is 12 in October and they were about 1 to 1.5 inches at the time now they are about 6 inches long. they grow so quickly! it is fun to have them though. I hope you enjoy yours!

Welcome. :) The size you say they are is really big for their age...Take a look at your other post regarding their size.
