First off welcome!
Second of all...most people on here do not approve of taking a wild RES out of the wild and keeping it in captivity. However, there are exceptions to that, one being if the RES was in danger. Being an aquatic turtle that loves to bask, that is the only reason I see it to be in the middle of the road. Is there a water source near by? Are RES native to the area in which you live? That is another reason that people take them out of the wild, because they are not native to the area, and it is obvious that someone has released one into the wild. (nice run-on sentence, sorry)
That aside, your pond is spacious enough for the turtle alone, I don't know about with all of the other aquatic life. The rule of thumb for RES is ten gallons per inch of shell. You more than meet that.
Your RES has the potential to eat the other animals in your pond, they will eat about anything. The goldfish are not really healthy for them either.
If you intend to keep the turt, which is ultimately your choice, do some reading on basic care on the main site. There is also a wealth of information in the outdoor habitat section. Oh, and beware of any preditors that you might have in the area. Raccoons are particularly bad.
Good luck, and let us know what you decide.
