Hi! Introduce yourselves here. :: Turtle hasn't basked for 24 hours

I added some plants to the tank and a few small minnows. She's eating and very active but since I added the new things she hasn't gone up on her platform once. - When we first got her a month ago she didn't bask either for nearly a week and then she began. She is a 3 year old in a 40 gallon tank. I'm wondering if I should take out the plants and the minnow fry (she's been eating them when she catches them and she has been eating her lettuce leaves) Anyway any thoughts? Should I be worried ?

I don't think you should be worried, sometimes they just act funny. Sometimes, several days at a time.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye on her. Meanwhile she is eating like the little piggy she is. Swam around the tank wearing a piece of red leaf lettuce for a while and then chomped it all down. I just believe how much personality these turtles seem to have - or is it just anthropomorphic projection!?

They definitely have distinct personalities. My two couldn't be more different.
