Back in January my mom found a RES stuck in her pool and she took it in. (I don't know if that was a good thing or not) We don't have any lakes near by so I don't know where he came from unless someone around our neighborhood lost a turtle. Anyway, she wasn't sure what to do with him so she gave him to me to take care of. My nephew named him Rafael but I call him Stretch because everytime I see him that's what he's doing. He's about 3-4 inches and he resides in a 20 gallon tank with 3 guppies, and an algae eater. Stretch is always attempting an escape and he's quite shy when it comes to basking.

Welcome to the forum. :) Stretch is a nice-looking turtle. The tank looks nice in the pic, but with a 3-4 inches turtle and some other creatures, it sounds like it might be time for an upgrade fairly soon.

Cute turt! I agree on the upgrade, and keep in mind when you do, he will grow, so save money and plan ahead. What kind of basking area do you have for him?
