I own a female red-ear slider. She belonged to my daughter before she started college. My daughter thought she was a boy and we found out after a few months that he was a she. Her name is Carbunkel. We have not changed it. It's kind of hard after we have been calling her that since July. I call her Bunky for short anyway.
