Hi everyone! :D
I'm new to the boards and here are my babies.
We got them one week ago.
I'm still not sure of their gender and I guess it's too early to tell. One of them is certainly more timid than the other; one is also slightly darker and bigger.
We've been told that they're RES but having read up on some info I discovered that they're most likely Cumberland as they have no visible red stripes (just yellow ones).
Could anyone confirm this?
We're looking into upgrading their tank at the moment as it's quite small.

Well, they sure are cute, whatever they are. :D
This is a great place to be and we all love pictures; I think we need more pictures to be able to give you any more information on what type they are. ;)

How big are they?

You'll have fun here. Once you start looking at all the indoor habitat pictures and build threads, you're probably going to just go nuts with their tank. (That's what happened to me, anyway.)

Here are some more pictures.
The main difference between them and an RES seems to be the color of the ear/stripe. Do some RES also come with a yellowish/light orange stripe?
They're about 2.5 inches approximately.
We were told that they're 5 months old (once again, not sure how accurate that is). Is there any way to determine their age?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as hubby and I are complete newbies. :)

Welcome to the site! It's too early to tell, maybe in another inch or so. It's usually the male characteristics that show up first.
