I'm Oona, a happy owner of RES from Finland. Found this forum when googling for some inspiration about making a proper basking area for my 20-yrs-old lady whose called Phillip as her former owner did not know whether she was a boy or a girl. Just love that little creature SO MUCH, she's the cleverest lil' thing in a world! Got her abt five years ago and have actually been desiring a some kinda mate for her but not sure about how would she react when she'd get a fellow? Isn't it horrible how they keep their turtles in such a poor enviroment? I mean, only here in Finland, there are currently many, many turles looking for a new home and people abandons them all the time. It's so sad to get to read from the paper about turtles abandoned somewhere in the woods or one of those little streams.
Well, back to the happier topic, let me introcude Phillip (or also called Leena after a famous finnish sketch character:D)
