Hi! Introduce yourselves here. :: New Owner - What kind of turtle do I have??

Hi! I purchased a baby turtle from my local pet store a couple weeks ago! He (or she) was in a tank with lots of turtle just like him/her & with lots of RESs. The only apparent difference is my turtle is gray. Does anyone know what species he/she belongs to?

Welcome!!!
It's a little hard to tell from that angle but it looks like a False Map. Can't see the top of the head in your pic too well, but False Maps have an “L” shaped thing on their head behind their eyes.
Generally speaking, there is little difference (if any) between caring for a Map and caring for a RES.
I must say I am a bit concerned over the buggy eyes, because it is one of many indicators of illness. Having come from a tank with lots of turtles, it would not be surprising if the little one has some illness.
