I am new here I bought my baby turtle last week on vacation in Georgia. I got him a ten gallon starter tank. I have learned from reading all the post that i need to get a heater. He has been in this cage since Saturday night i haven't seem him basking at all or eating since putting him in new habitat. Any recommendations on what i can do to get St. Simon to eat. He's named after where i bought him in St Simmons, GA.

Welcome to the site. Do you have a thermometer (to measure the water and basking area)? You might need to focus more light/warmth onto the basking area to raise the temps.

Have you tried moving the lamp yet? Is he very shy and skittish? Have you tried live foods, especially fish or earthworms? Do you normally just drop pellets into the water?
