Hello new turtle owner! Just got my little slider about a week ago, so s/he is still adjusting and kinda shy. Also I just changed out the gravel (don't worry was too big to swallow for his size) for sand so the little guy is all shook up again.

Named him Kado-kun for now..not sure if my wife will like it.lol

Kado was too shy to come out and eat while people were around so I set up a web cam site just to check if Kado was actually the one that was eating the pellets and not the fish. Anyways, it worked! when no one was around he came out and chomped down all the pellets! So big relief

Thanks for the welcomes! Kado is only about an 1-1/2" maybe, I'm in Japan so there is no laws how big a slider has to be to be sold.

BTW..about to go to work so stream is live!

Very cool. I'm not sure if it's the stutter from the video, but he looks like he's breathing very quickly/heavy.

I might be that he is just nervous or scared. Its still only about a week since I got him and it's the first time I've seen him have the courage to come all the way out of the water. I'll keep an eye on him though.
