I just purchased 2 baby RES from a lady in Maryland, she had a pond in her backyard with a couple adult RES and they had a couple babies. They seem to be in good health and I just finished setting them up in a 55 gallon while they are little. My boyfriend and I are hoping to purchase our first house together this or next year so this set up will have to do for a while. We named them Squirtle and Waffle, I am unsure of the sex. I hope to learn a lot more about them and have them grow up happy and healthy. I would really like to get some live aquatic plants for my tank, right now it has a large piece of driftwood that doubles as their basking area and some slack rock that I made a cave out of. I would also like to keep a couple small fish since the turtles are still only a couple inches in size. Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks everyone, Amanda
