My husband and I just brought home a new Red ear slider turtle. We named her "SEMIRA"!
So, today will her birthday even though it is her bring home day.

More details please, what size tank did you get? How big is it? Filtration? Heating? Basking? All the things we are concerned about, you left out!?

Hardware: 75 gallon tank (21"H X 48"W X 18"D), FX5 filter with veipacray media setup, pool filter sand substrat, TurtleSafe halogen heat/UVA lamp and ReptiGlo 5.0 UVB lamp in ZooMed Dual Dome Fixture.

She stayed in her take home tank until about 3 weeks ago. We bought a 15 gallon tank for her and a perch thingy which she hangs out under rather than on top. And a lot of
rocks (seems that she likes to push around the rocks so I added more. No filtration system just yet and i have a simple heating lamp waiting for next paycheck to get a better
lamp for her.

You'll need 10 gallons per 1" of semira! 15 isn't enough for anything except for a hatchling until it's around 3 months old. She's shy that's why she's not basking on top of the ramp. Give her time. Also, a thermometer is useful to monitor the temp, which should be around 75-89 at the most. Basking temp should obis be higher. U need a UVB lamp ASAP, and a healthy diet of pellets, meat, and veggies and fruits.
