I've had an RES for four years. His name is Squirt and he was a rescue from my daughters preschool. Poor thing was in a 20gal reptile tank with just enough water to put his feet in. He currently resides in a 75gal tank and loves it. The first time we put him in it...he just swam all night. He never had enough water before to do that. Very shortly, Squirt will be moving into his new home. He'll have a 90gal tank with a nice basking area. I'm so glad I found this forum. I've learned so much in such a little amount of time.
