Hi there.
My name is Erin, I'm a new turtle owner.
We've had Merlin for 4 weeks now.
He's about 9 months, 3" and is a Yellow Bellied Slider.

I also am the slave to 6 guinea pigs, 2 ferrets, 1 mouse, 1 betta and 3 kids.
I run my own sewing company, I make small pet beds like cuddle cups and hammocks.
On top of all that I recently started a free lance photography company with my aunt.

Anywho you all don't care about that you wanna see photos of Merlin ;)

What a healthy widdle guy! My Turtle is camera shy and I can never get good pictures of her! Be careful with the Gravel, they like to heat it.

Other than that, seems like you got a lot on your plate! Are your kids old enough to help with cleaning the tank, etc?

She did caption that was his old setup, looks like the new setup has sand. He'll redistribute that to his liking in no time. :)

Yup like PridgeNYC said hes on sand now. You can also see it in the first photo. ;)

PridgeNYC:
Oh yah, you should see him move it away from the drift wood to get his "scratch" on. Its funny. I'm trying to video tape it with no luck.

Merlin is adorable Erin! Welcome to the forum. I'm Canadian too and close to you guys- just a little further south in Calgary. :-)

My Trevor is 18 years (he'll be 19 in March) and is technically a girl, but I refer to him as him and never changed his name once finding out he was actually a she. ;-)
