I bought 2 YBS from a local seller who specializes in turtles.
I was breaking down one of my nano-reefs and thought a turtle tank would be fun to do again, especially with my daughters getting older (8 & 10).
29g tank + LED hood combo that I already had.
Floating corner dock w/ magnetic retainers.
25 lbs small river rock for substrate + few pieces of slate.
Fluval 305 which is the only thing I needed to purchase to get up and running.

Obviously the hood and lighting will be changed shortly, it is just what I had.
I plan to build a slate wall on the right side to have another platform for basking.
Can I add some driftwood to the bottom, any plants turtle safe, it is awfully barren.
Overall I am thrilled with the Fluval 305, but the flow rate is less than I am used to.
On reefs I would hit 10-12x flow to tank volume, it looks like I am about 6x on this setup - enough?
I am not happy with the return, I would like to craft a bar of some sort with 3-4 small holes in a small PVC pipe.
Anyone have any better ideas for modding the return?
I didn't add a heater yet as it is a constant 77 deg F in my house now that summer has arrived.
When cooler temps arrive I will add the heater.
I built the stand a few years ago, it has held 1000 lbs and has plenty of storage underneath.
TIA for any pointers or comments, esp about modding the return.
