I have 2 yellow belly sliders and my older one (Spike) comes up to my yonger one (Hunter) and fluttters his claws then Hunter does it back I thought this was odd because they are both boys[/color][/color]. some please explain what they are doing??

The fluttering is not just for mating. It also their dominance dance. So it is just the both of them trying to show each other they are the boss of the tank. Make sure you watch them because sometimes it goes beyond this and leads to physical attacks towards the other turtle.
