Hi everyone!
My name is Maria Boogert, Dutch living in Greece.
I work with stray animals, I live with my 2 dogs and 2 cats, and out of the blue I am also the owner of a RES, called ....Res!
I was turtle-sitting for friends in the summer, and they decided they couldn't take care of him anymore - in the meantime I fell in love with him... :mrgreen:

So, it's a he, his shell is 6,5 cm long, I don't know about his age!

hehe well at that size you dont know if its gonna be a male or a female. He needs to get to be double that size to know the sex. As for his age, probably he probably hatched that summer when you baby sat him. So the summer up until this point probably is what his age is around

Really?? Wow... I checked the (big) tail and the (long) nails...
So, I have a baby res of 8 months?

Haha trust me those nails are not long. The nails of a male are 3 to 4times longer then on your turtle.

Well, it's been really bad for a couple of weeks (meaning 0 to -4 C), but now it gets better- round +14 C at noon. Actually it reminds us of Easter time!
Oh yes, Spartans are/were Greek alright! I'd love to see them in person, but they are quite far away from Athens, where we live... :lol:
