Hello

My name is lily and i just got 2 RES hatchilings from a friend and they are roughly 1.5 inches.
They are so cute! Definitely consistent beggars for food.
From what I know they like to watch Dexter because they always swim to my side of the tank whenever i have it on.
When i turn it off the look at me like they are saying, "why did you turn it off?" LOL!

I haven't named them yet.

One is dark green in color and the other is a lighter green. I am not sure why.

Hello, welcome to the site! If one gets much darker quickly, it's possible it's growing a bit quicker (and eating more of it's share of food).

The darker one is a little bigger in shell size. However it doesn't eat as much since the lighter turtle steals all it's food. hahaha...
I try to feed them separately just so they both get the same amount. I noticed that they are starting to get pudgy around the neck and hind legs. Is that normal or are they fat?

Hatchlings shouldn't have any "pudge", so it's possible they are becoming overweight.

so since when i feed them the pudgy one seems to take all the food i should separate them when feeding?
hey i might name that one pudgy...hahahaha

Welcome

When feeding them remember to only give them the amount that would fit inside their heads if their head was empty...once a day. They love to beg and new owners tend to give in to them because your not sure if they are still hungry or not. I had the same problem

Also feeding them seperate would be an awesome idea to make sure both of them are getting the proper amount.

well at first i fed them 3 reptomin baby pellets a day...and after joining the forum...i feed them 1 or 2 a day...i break the pellets in half so i only feed pudgy half and the other one 1.5 pellets daily...
