To everyone :)..We have 2 turtle babies..Herbert and Bonnie..well they aren't so much babies anymore...Herbert will be 3 yrs in March, Bonnie 3yrs in May..I found your site while I was researching about a nesting box as they have been doing their little mating dance and Bonnie as noticeably restless and starting to nose around...

We got Herbert from a local pet store called critter co. The place is great..most pet stores many frown on..We go in to see Dan whom I call the "turtle man" to talk to him about Herbert and Bonnie often. He always gives us great advice. He has a set up for many older turtles and even refused us to get Herbert without a REAL spectrum light, which we didn't understand then..but we do now :)..Herbert was a hatchling and full of cuteness :D ( he is still so adorable :D)

Bonnie we got when we went in to see the babies in critter co. a few months later and saw 1 little res baby in the hatchling tank. Dan came over and said that he was the only one left..so we got him for a buddy for Herbert and we initially named him Oskar :D...

We have since of course found out Bonnie is a girl she is more then doubled poor Herbert in size and quite the bully to him at times :)

So thats our REs babies stories, looking forward to getting to know everyone :)
