hi i am thinking of getting 2 turtles one female and one male, im all new to this and i was wandering if anyone could give me some advice before i go ahead and get them, any info is welcome either pm me or write on here thanks.

Hi kayleigh, welcome to the site! A combination of male and female, or male and male usually don't work well. Female and female have much better odds for successful cohabitation, but is not guaranteed. If you are certain you want a pair, you have to be able to rehome one of them, keep separate tanks or divide a larger tank.

they have grown up since they were babies together there still quite young now, i went to see them yesterday and they seemed quite happy together but thanks for the advice ii will keep this in mind

Problems don't occur until they're a couple of years old.
