Hi there
I'm Creach and i have 2 male RES both about 3 years old. It has taken me a while to find a forum / user site so i'm very excited and relieved to be here! I am currently having problems with them fighting a great deal to the point where i was woken by them last night and had to seperate them Any and all advice will be welcome and greatfully received!

A lot of people with two turtles have aggression issues, since RES can definitely be aggressive toward other turtles. Your best bet would really be two tanks, because it will be roomier and safer for both turtles. Check out some of the threads involving biting or aggression, and they should convince you pretty fast on the idea of two tanks.

Hi Creach. Tough situation... a male RES with another RES (male or female, big or small) usually requires separation. Since you have males, you know they won't need as large a tank as a female. So perhaps you can get a nice large tank and set up a barrier, so you don't need twice the filters, lights and heaters.
