My Name is Olivia and at the moment I live in Nevada but my family and I are about to move back to North Carolina. I joined this forum because I have plans to build a very large ornamental fish pond and would like to keep a few turtles. The problem is although I know a great deal about keeping fish and other kinds of animals I've never housed a reptile before. I'm here to do as much home work as I can before I ever bring home a turtle. I'm a mod on a goldfish forum so naturally I know online forums are often the best place to collect information from people with real experience. Hopefully with y'all's help I can avoid at least a few costly armature mistakes and some poor turtle won't have to suffer in my ignorance.

Thanks dear ^_^ I deal with people every day on my fish forum who wished they knew a few things BEFORE they had gotten their fish. Knowing can saving you a lot of money and heartache in the long run and I'm sure that concept applies to turtles as much if not more so than other pets. I've already found alot of information on here that has surprised me and made me think "I'm glad I haven't gotten one yet b/c I would have (*insert random newbie mistake here*)."
