I finally got my turtle, and named it Spazz (yeah, with 2 z's, my girlfriends idea) because its extremely active! Its somewhat small right now, small enough for a 10 gallon tank temporarily. I filled it with enough water so the little guy has its space!
Best of all, Spazz isn't overly shy around me or my girlfriend. It gets startled when we approach it too fast or keep still while holding it for too long, but otherwise if I lightly stroke its shell a few times and grab it gently at a slow pace then it doesn't seem to mind too much.
