Hi,
My name is Amber, I recently( 2 weeks ago) aquired a Red Eared Slider from a woman who's son captured him when it was a hatchling. Comper, as I have named him, is severly stunted in growth, he is aproximately 10-11 years old and is very small for his age at 4.5 inches long and 4 inches across. He was kept in a small tote, with only enough water to cover him. He is now in a 55 gallon tank now, with a basking area (both heat and UV bulbs) and plently of water to swim around. He readily eats "aquatic turtle pellets" by Reptomin, loves mealworms, romain lettuce, and crickets. That is all I have tried so far, he acts like a puppy, begs for food everytime I walk into the room.

All in all I am here to better Chompers life. He is a friendly guy who deserves the best after having the worst, I hope to learn everything I can to help him thrive.

Thanks for taking the time to read this!!
Mommy to Chomper.

I have two female red ear sliders.

Hi Amber, welcome to the forum. Chomper is a very lucky turtle to have you as his keeper. Good luck and enjoy!
