My name is Jay. IMy sister in law decided to buy my son a pet RES from her nail salon. needless to to it cam in a 6" plastic container. so i immediately put him in a spare 10 gallon tank that i had and the next day went out and got him a basking lamp, filter, and a pplace to back under the lamp.

that was about a month ago. I have since moved him into a 72 gallon bowfront (little less than half filled). 2 filters new flaoting ramp to bask on and a fake log and some rock to climb around on. also invested in a UVA/UVB bulb ($60) to give him the rest of what he needs. He seems to be doing pretty good. eats a few meal worms a wekk and recently wrecked crnage on alot of guppies too. He seems to be liking his new home and is very active.

i will post pics on the site when i get a chance. thanks for all the info. site looks great.

RES from nail salon $10
Jeter's new home $300
Fathers price for son being happy about new RES, priceless.
