Hey people, My name is randy from PA. I'm 17 and a first time turtles owner (but knowledgeable)
I got my turtle in NC. he is a hatchling but growing. i felt bad for the turtles since they had like 30-50 in a 75 gallon tank. they are all small but they r selling them in tiny containers. i felt so bad but could only afford one at the time bc as u all know giving turtles enough space can be expensive.

i've had many fish, hermit crabs, and even frogs. this is my first turtle i've ever owned and am extremely happy about it. i found these forums a few days ago but didnt join bc i figured i wouldnt come back. later the same day i came back and than the next day so i decided to join.

Randy
1 RES
about 12 goldfish atm
and too many guppies to count
(turtle seems to like eating goldfish more)

Hi Randy. Welcome to the forum. I wouldn't give the turtle goldfish. They are the worst fish you could feed. Guppies are okay, but goldies have to much fat and are not good for the turtle.

Alright. Just be careful, overfeeding (especially of fat and proteins) can cause pyramiding.
