Hi! I'm new to this forum and I thought I would stop in and say hello! I've had my two red eared sliders for over three years.
I can't afford to upgrade the 90-gallon tank they are currently in, so I decided to add a second story 18"x18" basking platform for them.
I'm happy to report, they both took to it immediately! I plan on adding some decorations up there soon.
Today both of the turtles were up there basking. They are too big to fit through the openings and I really doubt they could climb the barrier as it's 18" high and straight up. But if I see they are attempting to become little climbers, I will put netting over the top.
