Can't blame her though...she came home, in a box, and it was about a 2 hour ride...poor thing!
At first, her name was Raphael...as in a boy's name (ya know, teenage mutant ninja turtle) until I did some research and she started looking like a girl turtle and became Fiona
....and now there's times I'm not so sure...but she is staying as Fiona! She's very territorial and can be very aggressive but I love her none the less! She makes the cutest noise every year between March and April but it only happens for a short while and only on ONE DAY! So, every year between March and April I'm waiting and listening for her. It sounds like a baby kitten meowing. The first time it happened...I FREAKED OUT! I was looking at a turtle and it's meowing...strange...very strange. I called PetCo and talked to the turtle guy and he said he's always wanted to hear a turtle do it but never has so consider myself lucky...that I do. He said that he's heard it's a mating thing, but not too sure about that because of her age. And she did it again last year so I'm waiting to hear it this year!
Anyway...I just wanted to introduce us a little bit and I'll be posting pics of Fiona to introduce her a little more. Hope everyone is having a great day!
